Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer 

Orion is partnered with a fast-paced manufacturing business based near Needham Market. We are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join the team.

 

This role revolves around boiler maintenance, applicants should have expereince maintaining industrial or at least commerical boilers.

 

Salary: £42,000 - £46,000 DOE 

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Package:

  • Competitive Salary £42,000 - £48,000
  • On call system (£165 to hold the phone for a week, normal hourly rate for week days, time and a half for Saturdays and double time for Sundays)
  • Varied site-based work

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Shifts:

3 tier shift rotation DAYS ONLY: 8am – 5pm:

Week 1: 7x days on 2x days off

Week 2: 3x days on 2x days off

Week 3: 5x days on 2x days off

 

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer responsibilities:

  • Maintaining industrial boiler systems
  • Servicing biomass boilers (desirable) 
  • Maintenance of hydraulics, valves, steam lines, pumps etc..
  • General routine PPMs site wide

 

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer required Experience:

  • Mechanical Qualification
  • BOAS – would be advantageous
  • 5 years in manufacturing/Industrial setting
  • Basic welding experience would be beneficial
  • All applicants should have experinece with boiler maintenance
  • Must have experience with compressors, boilers, chillers, cooling, refrigeration plants, pumps motors etc..
