Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineers to be enaged on a permanent basis, to be located in Bridgwater.

Key responsibilities will be:

Gathering input data, analysing / updating hypothesis notes and loading description reports Performing mechanical stresses analyses Equipment anchorages capability Possibly valves calculations Proposing appropriate and proportionate modifications in case the sizing criteria are not met Closing of open points and comments Assessing and answering technical issues arising during manufacturing, construction works, erection Assessing and integrating modification coming from the stakeholders after packages handed-over to JDO Doing some hand calculations and running anchorages macros to assess the feasibility of modification Checking calculation notes and guide drawings subcontracted to external companies Proposing improvements for the studies not finalized Maintaining Edvance's QA procedures in delivering the design Working with CAD designers/detailers in the preparation of the design drawings Leading technical meetings with suppliers or any other necessary support entities Qualifications
