Role: Mechanical Technician\n\nLocation: Newcastle (12 Month FTC)\n\nHours: Monday-Friday (40 Hours per week)\n\nHourly rate: £20 Per Hour\n\nGPS are looking for experienced Mechanical technicians to work for a leading subsea engineering business in Newcastle for 12 months. Successful candidates will be responsible for the assembly of a range of Mechanical/Hydraulic Equipment.\n\nKey responsibilities:\n\n * Work to allocated tasks in line with the Production MPS.\n\n * Possess an understanding of the requirements for the correct assembly of large steel fabrications and associated ancillary equipment including hydraulic equipment i.e. cylinders and operating systems.\n\n * Correctly assemble work from a parts list and drawings.\n\nSkills/Experience Required:\n\n· Previous experience in a similar role is essential\n\n· HNC or equivalent experience.\n\n· Previous experience of operating in a heavy engineering assembly environment safely and effectively
