Mechanical Engineer / QC Inspector

to support our Production, Engineering, and Quality departments. The role is varied, offering plenty of hands-on tasks while also playing a vital role in inspection and quality assurance. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and repair assembly jigs and small tools Manufacture and adapt simple tooling for production Carry out small batch modifications using lathes, drills, milling machines, and hand tools Prototype new parts for testing and evaluation Support the QA department with timely and accurate inspection of sub-assemblies and incoming goods Record inspection results and complete non-conformance reports when required Provide feedback to the Quality Manager to support continuous improvement Operate at all times to company's quality and health & safety standards Benefits: Competitive hourly rate: £14.00 – £14.75 (depending on experience) Contributory pension scheme 23 days holiday + bank holidays (pro rata) Holiday entitlement increases with service (up to 25 days) Paid Christmas closure 2x discretionary annual bonuses (June & December) Employee assistance programme with 24/7 helpline, wellbeing app & discounts Free onsite parking The Ideal Candidate We're looking for a practical engineer with a strong mechanical background and a proactive, adaptable approach.
