Mechanical Engineer

Hours: 40 hours per week, 7am-4pm Monday-Thursday, 7am-1pm Friday

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience

The Role/Company

We are currently working with a highly reputable engineering services supplier that specialise in the milling and pelleting industries throughout the UK.

Due to continued growth, they are now seeking to add a Mechanical Engineer to their team based at their Gloucester site.

Ideally you will have some previous mechanical engineering experience. With this role it will involve working on vertical boring machines, reading and understanding engineering drawings, preventive and breakdown maintenance on refurbishment machines. The client may also consider those looking for a trainee mechanical engineering roles if you have some form of engineering qualification, such as NVQ.

Responsibilities:

Work on refurbishment die machinery such as a high pressured 36.000 psi jetwash, CSV countersink machines, die grinding machines, vertical lathes, radial arm drills Using overhead gantry cranes slinging equipment Using forklift daily for loading and unloading vehicles Preparing dies and rolls for despatch, wrapping and strapping for safe transit Ability to read and understand technical drawings Perform maintenance and repairs on refurbishment equipment to maximise production at our refurbishment facility...
