Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to oversee and execute Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance activities on a major water utility project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of mechanical systems related to water treatment, pumping stations, pipelines, and associated infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: 1. Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM): * Develop, schedule, and implement PPM routines for mechanical equipment including pumps, valves, motors, compressors, and pipelines. * Ensure maintenance procedures comply with OEM specifications and industry best practices. * Maintain accurate maintenance records and asset registers using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). * Coordinate with operations to minimize system downtime during maintenance. * Conduct risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for maintenance tasks. 2. Reactive Maintenance: * Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns, faults, and emergency repair needs. * Diagnose mechanical failures and determine the most effective solution. * Carry out on-site repairs or coordinate third-party repairs as necessary. * Provide root cause analysis of repeated failures and propose engineering solutions to prevent recurrence. 3.
