Mechanical Engineer (Seismic studies) Staffordshire, UK 6 months + Hybrid role : 3 days / Week Onsite at Staffordshire and 2 days Remote This role falls under is Inside IR35
Job Description:
* Experienced in Seismic studies
* Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (BEng, MEng or equivalent)
* Proficient using 3D modelling such as Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks
* Candidate should have experience working in Electrical environment
* Extensive experience within a Mechanical Design Engineering role
* Lead mechanical design strategy and business development initiatives
* Manage complex, high-value projects from concept to completion
* Drive innovation, sustainability, and quality across mechanical engineering outputs
* Lead and develop engineering teams, providing technical leadership and mentorship
* Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to growth opportunities
* Qualifications within a mechanical engineering related subject are desirable
Mechanical Design Engineer Job Overview
* Mentoring and overseeing a small team of Junior Design Engineers
* Allocating design work throughout the team
* Assisting with creating product layouts and manufacturing drawings using customer specification and recommendations
* Generate assembly and detailed production drawings with the use of Autodesk Inventor
* Produce clear build processes to technicians
* Attend and input at various project meetings with team and customers
* Solve problems and produce new concepts
* Manage suppliers and procurement of bill of materials
* Use innovation to research latest ideas and techniques
