Mechanical Engineer

to join their team on a range of Industrial projects in

West Sussex. Responsibilities Technical Support to Mechanical Installation: Provide engineering support for the full mechanical scope, including HVAC, pipework, and public health systems. Ensure installations are technically compliant with project specifications and design intent. Coordination of Design & Construction Information: Review mechanical drawings, schematics, and submittals. Flag discrepancies, manage RFIs, and coordinate with consultants, BIM teams, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and buildable information on-site. Material Take-Offs & Procurement Assistance: Prepare accurate take-offs for mechanical systems, support procurement processes, and coordinate with the site team to ensure timely delivery of plant, equipment, and materials. Quality Assurance & Inspections: Conduct inspections and support the development of QA documentation including checklists, test packs, and commissioning records. Ensure works are completed to the required standards and in line with the ITPs. Progress Tracking & Reporting: Monitor daily and weekly progress of mechanical works, support look-ahead planning, and contribute to project reporting

feeding into site meetings and assisting the Mechanical Project Manager as required. Requirements Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate a stable track record with a Main or Subcontractor background Must have excellent communication skills (Verbal & Written) Must have relevant degree level qualification or equivalent trades background Must have 5+ years experience in a similar position on industrial construction projects Benefits Circa £70,000 + Package
