Overview Mechanical Engineer (Seismic studies) — Staffordshire, UK. 6 months +. Hybrid role : 3 days / Week Onsite at Staffordshire and 2 days Remote. This role falls under is Inside IR35 Responsibilities
Lead mechanical design strategy and business development initiatives Manage complex, high-value projects from concept to completion Drive innovation, sustainability, and quality across mechanical engineering outputs Lead and develop engineering teams, providing technical leadership and mentorship Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to growth opportunities Mentoring and overseeing a small team of Junior Design Engineers Allocating design work throughout the team Assisting with creating product layouts and manufacturing drawings using customer specification and recommendations Generate assembly and detailed production drawings with the use of Autodesk Inventor Produce clear build processes to technicians Attend and input at various project meetings with team and customers Solve problems and produce new concepts Manage suppliers and procurement of bill of materials Use innovation to research latest ideas and techniques
Qualifications
Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (BEng, MEng or equivalent) Proficient using 3D modelling such as Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks Experience working in Electrical environment Extensive experience within a Mechanical Design Engineering role Qualifications within a mechanical engineering related subject are desirable
