Maintenance Engineer - Walsall

Shifts:  4 on, 4 off working patterns which is 2 Early, 2 Late, then 4 off.

What You Will Do:

• Perform troubleshooting and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on specialist machinery to ensure smooth operations.
• Apply mechanical expertise to diagnose and repair hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive chain systems.
• Conduct bearing fitting and alignment tasks to maintain equipment efficiency.
• Use your skills in fabrication, welding (Arc & MIG), and general engineering to address diverse maintenance requirements.
• Adhere to health and safety best practices, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
• Collaborate with colleagues to prioritise and adapt to daily operational needs.

What You Will Bring:

• A minimum Level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline and a mechanically biased background.
• Proven experience in manufacturing or factory environments, particularly in heavy industry settings.
• Strong diagnostic skills for hydraulic, pneumatic, and drive chain fault finding.
• Knowledge of environment, health, and safety processes and commitment to safe working practices.
• Hands-on expertise with welding, fabrication, and mechanical maintenance.
• You will have current or previous experience working as multi-skilled maintenance engineer, shift engineer, mechanical engineer, maintenance engineer, automation engineer, maintenance technician.
