Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location: Oldbury, West Midlands Salary: £37,000 per annum Full-Time | Permanent | 37 hours per week About the Role as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. Based on our Oldbury site, you’ll play a key role in keeping our production machinery running efficiently across the shop floor. This is a hands-on, full-time role supporting the manufacturing process, performing both reactive and planned maintenance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Hours of Work * Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm (with 30-minute lunch) * Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm (no lunch) What You’ll Do * Perform reactive and planned maintenance on a variety of mechanical machinery. * Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults. * Support day-to-day manufacturing operations efficiently and safely. * Record, monitor, and report all engineering and production issues. * Suggest improvements to prevent reoccurring faults. * Communicate progress with Production Managers and Team Leaders. * Complete repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure minimal downtime.
