Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Denton, Greater Manchester

Circa £45,233 per annum (paid weekly, incl. allowances)

42 hours per week | Shift pattern:

• Sun: 08:00–16:30
• Mon: 06:00–18:30
• Tue: 06:00–18:30
• Thu: 08:00–18:30
• (3 on, 1 off, 1 on, 2 off)

The Role:

As part of the in-house maintenance team, you’ll ensure the smooth operation of all plant equipment, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities:

⚙️ Troubleshoot and fault-find on a wide range of specialist machinery

Carry out PPM to maximise equipment uptime

Apply fitting, fabrication, welding & general service engineering skills

Support efficiency, reliability & continuous improvement of production processes

⏱️ Minimise downtime and keep production running smoothly

About You:

✅ Mechanically biased engineer with manufacturing/factory experience

✅ Level 3 qualification (minimum) in an Engineering discipline

✅ Strong knowledge of health & safety practices in industrial environments

✅ Hands-on, proactive, and thrives in a busy, fast-paced setting

✅ Physically fit and adaptable to shifting daily priorities
