Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We have an exciting permanent role for a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer with a specialist manufacturer in Mildenhall, Suffolk. This well-established company is growing rapidly, and they need your expertise to support their expansion.
In this role, you'll be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of 16 multispindle lathes and other key production machinery, all operating on a 24/7 schedule. The starting salary is dependent on experience, with more experienced engineers potentially earning around £40,000.
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Duties:
Maintaining and providing upkeep to 16 multispindle lathes Full disassembly/reassembly of components and machinery Replace bearings, conveyor belts etc Fault finding of machinery Operate around a 24/7 working schedule Reactive and PPM proceduresDesired Skills:
Manual lathe operation experience 5 - 10 years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment Flexibility to work outside of standard working hours when required Ability to transition your skills to other machines and aspects of production Previously successful candidates have come from a background in manufacturing and transitioned to maintenance, providing them with a strong knowledge of lathes and other relevant machinery
The standard working hours for this position will be 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday (40-hour week), with some flexibility being necessary.
