    • THE BUSINESS

    Westray Recruitment Group is currently seeking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for our client based in the Tyne & Wear area. In the role you will be expected to undertake both planned and reactive maintenance to various machinery found on plant. The employer in question is a big believer in training & development and will provide a platform for upskilling and investing in your career. The organisation in question takes waste fuels and recycles them to produce alternate fuels.

    THE ROLE

  • Reacting to breakdowns and delivering planned maintenance
  • Working to maintain various pump equipment found on site including centrifugal and air operated diaphragm pumps
  • Strip, inspect, service and repair Pumps, Centrifuges.
  • Proficiency in the reading and understanding of mechanical schematic drawings
  • Ability to take the information from schematic drawings and assemble equipment
  • Making and breaking small flanges
  • Updating and logging tasks within the SAP maintenance system
  • Dealing with outside contractors to aid works where appropriate

    • THE PERSON

  • Time served Mechanical Maintenance Technician
  • Educated to at least level 3 apprenticeship
  • Experience working with various pumps especially centrifugal
  • Must have worked within an industrial setting
  • Able to work with limited supervision
  • Open to development
