Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Sudbury, Suffolk Salary: £42,000 Basic Monday to Friday shifts
Outsource UK is recruiting on behalf of a respected textiles manufacturer in Sudbury, Suffolk, for an experienced and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join their technical team.
Key Responsibilities: Carry out maintenance on powered weaving equipment to ensure maximum efficiency. React promptly to technical issues reported by Weavers to minimise machine downtime. Support ongoing machine performance improvements aligned with KPIs in quality, safety, and productivity. Log all maintenance work for traceability. Perform bench repairs and contribute to continuous improvement projects. Work collaboratively with the Engineering Manager, Senior Technician, and Weaving Team. Contribute to monthly engineering meetings and risk assessments. About You: Required: Solid mechanical background and confident with hand tools. Strong problem-solving skills with an inquisitive, methodical approach. Ability to manage workload independently and follow technical instruction.
