OverviewPosition: Mechanical Building Services Engineer (Maintenance)Type: PermanentLocation: LiverpoolSalary: £40,000 basic – Mon-Fri 40 hours per weekWe are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Building Services) to work within an estates team in providing maintenance and repairs to mechanical plant rooms such as pressure systems, AHUs, HVAC, pumps/valves, commercial plumbing and associated equipment. The role is a permanent position, 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri. On-call TBA.ResponsibilitiesTo undertake a proactive role in carrying out maintenance, repairs and inspection of mechanical building services, in accordance with relevant standards, procedures and legislation.Represent the organisation in a respectful and professional manner.Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on mechanical and associated building services in accordance with the PPM programme and required training.Respond promptly to ad-hoc breakdown requests as identified by supervisor/manager or as per site contract.Assist in installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works.Assist in systematic fault finding in a logical and safe manner on malfunctioning equipment.Carry out duties in accordance with safe working practices within statutory and Company guidelines.Operate access equipment, hand and power tools safely in line with health & safety and manufacturers’ guidelines.Use personal protective equipment correctly and adhere to health & safety and infection control procedures.Maintain records as required (written or electronic).Willingness to assist and work flexibly with other trades/colleagues.After a qualifying period, participate in the callout/standby rota.Undertake training to learn other skills and to maintain and develop service requirements.Carry out risk assessments on-site as instructed by supervisor/manager.Complete all required job cards and other paperwork to the required standard.Complete work within the allocated timeframes.Carry out any other identified tasks commensurate with the role.Qualifications & ExperiencePreviously worked within a maintenance environment.NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.PPM & Reactive work.Work on Plumbing Systems.Able to pass DBS checks.Previous experience of basic HVAC and cooling towers is advantageous.If you are interested please click the APPLY button now.
