We are committed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance, working in line with Joint Industry Group (JIG) standards to ensure reliable, uninterrupted fuel delivery for airport operations.\n\nOur site maintenance team plays a crucial role in the daily operation of our facility, delivering key performance indicators (KPIs) through proactive maintenance, effective fault resolution, and a commitment to continuous improvement.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nAs a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be instrumental in delivering our maintenance strategy, with a strong focus on safety, technical competence, and quality workmanship. You will be responsible for conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and mechanical repairs across a wide range of operational plant, systems, and equipment.\n\nThis role requires excellent communication and collaboration with team members, management, contractors, and airport stakeholders to ensure smooth and safe operations of both the fuel farm and hydrant systems.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPerform planned and reactive mechanical maintenance\nEnsure compliance with JIG and other applicable standards\nCarry out fault-finding and effective resolution of breakdowns\nMaintain accurate service records and support KPI delivery\nManagement of third-party contractors\nCollaboration with airport stakeholders, and on-site teams\nContribute to safety audits, inspections, and continuous site improvement\nParticipate in ongoing professional and technical development\nEssential Criteria\n\nMechanical engineering qualification (e.g.
NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)\nExperience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a high-risk or regulated environment\nSound understanding of health & safety in operational environments\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail\nAbility to work effectively both independently and in a team\n5 year checkable history & application for Basic DBS to meet with airside pass requirements\nFull driving licence\nDesirable\n\nHNC/HND Mechanical Engineering.\nCOMPEX Trained (EX-11 – Mechanical).\nMJI10 & MJI19 qualification (Mechanical Joint Integrity).\nSBT-01 or equivalent qualification (Small Bore Tubing).\nExperience working in fuel, aviation, or COMAH-regulated sites\nFamiliarity with hydrant fuel systems, valves, pumps, and associated infrastructure\nKnowledge of CMMS systems and fault-logging software\nREF-(Apply online only)
