We're recruiting for a Packaging-focused Mechanical Project Engineer to join a growing consultancy delivering projects ranging from £250K to £40M. This hybrid role offers a dynamic mix of mechanical design, supplier management, and full project lifecycle delivery - from feasibility through to commissioning.
Industries We Welcome Candidates from automotive, pharmaceutical, FMCG, logistics, supply chain, food & drink, or machinery manufacturing sectors are encouraged to apply. If you've worked on capital equipment, production lines, or bespoke machinery, your experience is highly relevant.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical and process design of packaging and production lines Supplier selection, tender analysis, and cost control Site installation, commissioning, and performance trials Compliance with CDM, PUWER, and Machinery Directive legislationCandidate Profile
Background in mechanical engineering (Degree, HNC, or HND) Experience in project engineering, design engineering, or CapEx delivery Proficient in 2D CAD (3D CAD desirable) Valid UK driving licence Strong problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and adaptabilityPackage & Benefits
