Mechanical Project Engineer – 12-Month Contract Location: London (with occasional site visits) Sector: Renewables / Energy Generation Projects The Opportunity Berkshire Talent Partnership is recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading player in the UK’s energy infrastructure sector. This is a 12-month contract role, working on high-profile projects in renewable energy, gas peaking, and energy storage. You’ll be at the heart of the project delivery process — managing design reviews, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring every stage meets strict safety, quality, and performance standards. What You’ll Be Doing * Manage your own workload to deliver against project design specifications, budgets, and timelines. * Collaborate with designers, contractors, project managers, planners, and procurement teams to develop and execute project plans. * Conduct site assessments to evaluate feasibility and gather technical requirements. * Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. * Review design developments with suppliers, taking documentation through IFC (Issue for Construction) and IAB (Issue As Built) stages. * Support site teams in resolving TQs and NCRs, liaising with PMs and procurement on solutions. * Part...
