I’m currently representing a leading manufacturer of precision measuring equipment based in Coventry and they’re looking for a Metrologist / Calibration Engineer to join them on a permanent basis.\n \n Metrologist / Calibration Engineer\n Key Responsibilities\n\nPerform calibration of dimensional measuring instruments and reference standards to ensure accuracy\nFollow UKAS requirements and the laboratory’s approved procedures for all calibration tasks\nKeep accurate and detailed records and reports related to all calibration work\nAssist in the continuous enhancement of laboratory procedures and contribute to quality assurance by ensuring all processes consistently meet required standards \nMetrologist / Calibration Engineer\n Essential Experience\n\nHold relevant mechanical engineering qualifications or have completed a suitable apprenticeship with solid experience in gauge inspection techniques.\nHave a strong grasp of industry-specific terminology.\nDemonstrate solid knowledge of dimensional metrology.\nBe eager to learn, well-presented, organised, adaptable, and self-motivated.\nBe capable of working independently, representing the company both on-site and at customer locations.\nDisplay strong communication, organizational, and IT skills.\nPossess hands-on experience with inspection techniques. \n\nIf you feel you’re a good fit for this position, please click ‘apply’ or call Amar in the Birmingham office for a confidential discussion
