With a workforce of over 600 employees, they are currently expanding their tech and product offerings during a period of rapid growth.My client is investing heavily in the security and resilience of its Azure cloud environment. With a mature Microsoft stack and clear compliance obligations, they’re hiring a Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen their cloud security posture and lead key initiatives around compliance, monitoring, and incident response.This is a hands-on role focused on implementation, automation, and governance. You’ll work across engineering, DevOps, and InfoSec to drive secure-by-design practices, integrate Microsoft’s security tooling, and ensure environments are compliant and well monitoredWhat you’ll be doing:Implement and maintain secure Azure architectures, policies, and controlsConfigure and manage tools across the Microsoft Defender suite (Cloud, Endpoint, Identity, M365)Lead on Microsoft Sentinel and Purview deployments, working closely with their SOC partnerHelp manage Conditional Access, Entra ID, PIM, and related identity security measuresDrive compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2, and NIS2 frameworksSupport incident response and monitoring using Sentinel, Defender, and Microsoft Compliance ManagerImplement DLP and sensitivity labels, and manage encryption and certificate strategies via Azure Key VaultWork closely with other teams to embed security across CI/CD and application pipelinesWhat we’re looking for:Deep experience in Azure security, with a strong grasp of Microsoft Defender and SentinelHands-on knowledge of Microsoft Purview, Entra ID, Intune, and related toolingStrong understanding of compliance frameworks and Microsoft’s compliance solutionsExperience with network security in Azure (e.g. NSGs, ASGs, Azure Firewall)Proficient in scripting and automation, particularly PowerShellExcellent communicator who can present risk and mitigation plans to non-technical stakeholdersMicrosoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) requiredIdeally working towards or already certified in SC-100; bonus points for CISSP, CISM, etc.Location & Ways of WorkingHybrid role, typically 1–2 days a week in their London office.
