OverviewMid Level Application Support Engineer | Consultancy | ETRM, Commodities, SQL, PowerShell/Python | £80,000 per annum | Permanent | Hybrid (3 Days Onsite - London)ResponsibilitiesProvide L1–L2 application support to front, middle, and back office teams within commodities and trading environments.Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to ETRM platforms (e.g., Trayport, Endur, Allegro).Manage and monitor system performance and outages across client systems.Work with SQL for querying, investigating data integrity issues, and maintaining schemas/tables.Use PowerShell (strongly preferred) or Python for scripting automation and support tools.Collaborate with client-side IT, infrastructure, and development teams for issue resolution and continuous improvement.Participate in onboarding of APIs, FIX messaging, and market data feeds.Maintain and contribute to support documentation and change management workflows.Strong hands-on experience with PowerShell (must-have); Python is also beneficial.Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).Familiarity with Windows and Linux/Unix environments.Exposure to ETRM platforms like Trayport, Endur, Allegro, or similar systems.Understanding of trade lifecycle and financial markets (especially energy or commodities).Experience in a client-facing or consultancy-based role.Knowledge of ITIL practices and change/release management.Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.Experience with IBM MQ, ION, ATEO, TT, or Deltix platforms.Understanding of regulatory environments, compliance, and risk frameworks.Exposure to FIX protocols and trading APIs.Willingness to occasionally support after-hours upgrades or incident escalations.QualificationsExperience with ETRM systems (Trayport, Endur, Allegro) and commodities trading environments.Strong scripting skills in PowerShell or Python.SQL proficiency and experience with relational databases.Comfort working in Windows and Linux/Unix environments.Experience in a client-facing or consultancy-based role and ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders. #J-18808-Ljbffr
