Overview
Crown Milling, part of the successful Cranswick PLC group, are looking for an Engineer to work nights across our 2 Mills, located in Kenninghall & Hoxne.
Summary
As Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operations of the Mills
Hours of Work
Working hours will be on a 3-week rota cycle – shifts being – 1) 0600 – 1500 Hoxne including on call cover 2) Kenninghall 0600 – 1500 and 3) Kenninghall 1300 – 2200
You will be responsible for on call overnight if the Mill(s) needed attention outside of working hours, added as ad hoc duties due to irregularity of breakdowns.
General Responsibilities
- To comply with relevant Engineering specifications, and Environmental, Health & Safety policies and current legislation.
- Complete/task engineering workload in conjunction with the Engineering Manager and Operations colleagues.
- Ensure the company assets are maintained to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Undertake planned maintenance tasks as instructed to the relevant engineering and safety standards.
- Undertake remedial engineering works to equipment or site as instructed by the Engineering Manager.
- To ensure plant and equipment downtime is kept to a minimum.
- To respond to breakdowns in a time efficient manner
Requirements/Experience
- Previous experience of FMCG manufacturing (preferably Milling related)
- Excellent level of attendance and timekeeping
- Full driving licence is essential
