Mill Maintenance Engineer

ResponsibilitiesCarry out proactive maintenance routines on all electrical and mechanical plant and equipment to prevent downtime and extend asset life.Respond quickly and safely to breakdowns, working to minimise disruption to production.Support and monitor contractor activity on-site, including issuing and overseeing work permits.Ensure all work meets compliance standards, including external codes (e.g. UFAS) and internal policies (e.g. ladder register, permit systems).Communicate effectively with the wider maintenance team, Mill staff, and the Site Manufacturing Manager to coordinate maintenance activity.Uphold the Group’s Health & Safety and environmental standards at all times.Carry out any additional tasks as delegated by the National Engineering Manager.Shift patternDays: 7.00am-3.00pm, Afternoons: 3.00pm-11.00pm, Nights: 11.00pm-7.00amRequirementsExperience in a mechanical, electrical or multiskilled maintenance or engineering role (experience in feed, milling, or similar process industries is beneficial).Holds relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering).Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.A proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.Can work effectively as part of a team and independently under pressure.A strong awareness of safe systems of work and compliance processes.Flexible to support call-outs or shifts when required.BenefitsProfit related annual bonusEmployee discount at Wynnstay Stores33 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidaysEmployee Assistant Programs – WeCare/MyStrength/ToothfairySave As You Earn schemesFree on-site parkingSeniority levelNot ApplicableEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionIndustrial Machinery Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
