Talent Acquisition Partner for Mitie, UK's leading Facilities Management (Via Hays)

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to undertake the maintenance and repair of air conditioning equipment. This includes service, maintenance, and repair of split AC systems, VRV/VRF systems and heat pumps. You may also be required to work on specific refrigeration equipment such as chilled cabinets / multideck or ice machines. You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of manufacturer plants, for example, Daikin, Mitsubishi, Media, Toshiba, and LG. Understanding installation designs and bespoke manufacturer trouble shooting procedures, whilst also being comfortable with seeking manufacturer technical support autonomously is desirable. You will be expected to complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, keeping logs of inspections, reports and remedial work.

Responsibilities

• Undertake maintenance, service, and repair of air conditioning equipment including split systems, VRV/VRF systems and heat pumps.
• Work on refrigeration equipment such as chilled cabinets, multidecks or ice machines as required.
• Interpret installation designs and follow manufacturer trouble shooting procedures; seek manufacturer technical support autonomously when needed.
• Complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time; maintain logs of inspections, reports and remedial work.
• Operate across a variety of manufacturer plants (e.g., Daikin, Mitsubishi, Media, Toshiba, LG).
• Participate in an On-Call rota and hold a full current driving licence.
• Perform manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights and in confined spaces; use a handheld computer device (PDA) for job records.
• Work independently with a solutions-focused mindset but also collaborate effectively within a team.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications e.g., FGAS & ODS regulations, time-served apprenticeship, C&G Level 3 / NVQ or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, Permit to Work procedures and safe systems of working.
• Experience in a Maintenance / Facilities Management environment.
• Full, clean driving licence; willingness to participate in an On-Call rota.

Requirements

• Good verbal and written communication; ability to use a handheld computer device (PDA).
• Self-motivated, solutions-focused, able to work without supervision and as part of a team.

Location and Availability

Sunbury-On-Thames, London, Watford, High Wycombe, Slough, Enfield, St Albans and surrounding areas; travel may be required.
