Job Title: Mobile commercial gas engineer \n\nLocation: Sheffiled\n\nSalary: £45,000\n\nMobilr role, company will provide Van and fuel card\n\nHours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm)\nContract: Permanent\nOn-call: ¼ - £100 standby - Paid at 4 hours minimum per call-out\n\nOverview\nAn established facilities management provider is seeking a Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to join their technical services team, delivering maintenance and small works across a portfolio of retail and commercial sites.\nThe role is mobile, primarily covering the South M1 corridor, ideal for candidates based between Leeds and Nottingham, with regular work in and around Sheffield.\nThis is a great opportunity for a qualified gas engineer with strong maintenance experience, who is looking for stability, a flexible salary package, and to be part of a professional and supportive team.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs to commercial gas and heating systems\nDiagnose and repair faults in gas systems and associated equipment.\nEnsure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety standards.\nComplete detailed reports and documentation of all maintenance and repair activities.\nMaintain excellent customer service and build strong relationships with clients.\nTravel to various sites across Northumberland using the company-provided van\nPerform minor installation works and general building services maintenance\nSupport other maintenance tasks including basic mechanical, HVAC, fabric, and electrical works\nUndertake fault finding, diagnostics, and rectification of heating plant and associated systems\nComplete all works in line with health and safety requirements and site procedures\nParticipate in the on-call rota, with paid call-outs \n\nRandstad CPE values and promotes equality.
