Job Title: Mobile Engineer (Electrical Bias) Location: Covering Peterborough and within 1 hour – including Daventry, St. Ives, and Market Harborough Salary: Up to £38,000 + Van (Personal Use) & Fuel Card

Job Overview

We are currently seeking a reliable and multi-skilled Mobile Engineer (Electrical Bias) to support multiple commercial sites across Peterborough and surrounding areas, including Daventry, St. Ives, and Market Harborough (within approx. 1-hour travel). This mobile role focuses on electrical maintenance and includes minor plumbing and fabric duties to ensure facilities are kept safe, functional, and compliant.

You’ll be working independently, supported by a regional team, with a company van provided for business and personal use.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on commercial systems

*

Service and repair lighting, power distribution, sockets, and switches

*

Perform emergency lighting and fire alarm testing as part of PPM schedule

*

Conduct AHU filter changes and minor HVAC servicing

*

Complete minor plumbing tasks and general fabric repairs (e.g. patching, door fixes, furniture adjustments)

*

Maintain clear records and ensure compliance with health & safety standards

*

Respond to service requests efficiently across the designated area

*

Participate in an on-call rota (1 week in 7)

What We're Looking For

*

Proven experience in electrical building services or FM maintenance

*

17th or 18th Edition qualified

*

Strong problem-solving skills and multi-skilled approach

*

Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
