Overview

Wates Property Services is looking for a skilled and reliable Mobile Engineer to join our team supporting the Hampshire Blue Light contract. This role involves delivering planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites, ensuring critical infrastructure remains safe, operational, and compliant.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out a wide range of building services maintenance tasks, including electrical, mechanical, and general fabric repairs
  • Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests across designated sites
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance of building systems
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and site-specific procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent Wates professionally at all times

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a mobile engineering or multi-skilled maintenance role
  • Relevant trade qualifications (e.g., electrical, mechanical, or building fabric)
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload across multiple locations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
