OverviewBuilding a sustainable tomorrow. BAM FM are recruiting for a Mobile Fabric Engineer with a plumbing background, working predominantly on a stand-alone contract in the Stoke on Trent Area. Working hours 8.00am - 4.30pm Monday – Friday, with some flexibility offered.ResponsibilitiesCarry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and completion of the appropriate paperwork and reportsCarry out Reactive and emergency breakdown tasks including completion of the associated paperworkAssist other team members when required or as directed from direct management teamEnsure all tasks are completed within the contractual time scalesHave a good competency of fabric and plumbing skillsOversee / manage visiting sub-contractors where required with regards to standard of work and Health and SafetyCarry out all duties in accordance with company policies and proceduresUnderstand and complete all work related documentation accurately and on timeRegularly review progress requests and communicate to the Supervisor / contact centre if there are problems or delaysDeliver a high level of customer satisfaction based on speed of response and completion ratesAssistance with the development and management of ongoing and routine maintenance programsResponsible for the safe and secure storage of spare parts, materials, tools and consumablesProvide technical support to others when requestedDay to day monitoring and inspection of Sub-contractor works where requiredBasic management and control of the BMS system if/where applicableAny other duties as may be discussed and agreedManagement of services in accordance with contract specification, using best practice commercial and industry practicesResponsibility for the implementation and compliance with Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental requirements ensuring compliance with all legislation and BAM FM policies and proceduresBe part of a call out rota within an existing team network, possibly 1 in 4Carry out other duties that may be reasonably requested from time to time by BAM FMCarrying out work in a safe and diligent mannerEnsure that detailed records are created and filed for the statutory testing, inspections and record keepingWho are we looking for?Experience of Fabric maintenance, repair, remedials work, fault finding on a variety of equipment including plumbing, boiler plant, ventilation, AHU’s, pumps, booster sets, water hygiene (where applicable)An understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLA’s), service targets and objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)Able to anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faultsCapable of completing essential paperwork in accurate and timely mannerGood IT skillsExcellent customer service skillsExperience in working to a high level in one or more specific trade disciplinesAbility to work both individually and as part of a teamAbility to use own initiativeGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to meet deadlinesExperience of working in an educational institution would be advantageousFull UK driver’s licencePASMA CertificationMEWP CertificationPlumbing qualificationLegionella TrainingFirst Aid TrainingWhat’s in it for you?A challenging and continuously changing environment in a forward- thinking organisation.
