We are looking for an experienced Mobile Gas Engineer to undertake the maintenance and repair of the Gas Plant, including fabric & basic electrical tasks of buildings as required under contract. You must ensure all PPM and Reactive tasks are completed to the required legislative standards and all required paperwork is completed and submitted within timescales. You need to also participate on the On-Call Rota.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Gas Plant, including fabric and basic electrical tasks of buildings as required under contract.
• Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive tasks to legislative standards and ensure all paperwork is submitted within timescales.
• Participate on the On-Call Rota.
• Monitor visiting sub-contractors for workmanship and Health and Safety compliance; issue permits, control small works and escort duties as required.
• Ensure all certification is correctly completed and remedial works are clearly identified.
• Carry out PPM, complete the appropriate paperwork and reports, and ensure all statutory and mandatory tasks are completed on time.

You will have a full current driving licence. Must have strong customer care focus, good communication and proactive skills. You should be able to anticipate, diagnose and repair faults. You must be capable of completing essential paperwork accurately and on time.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates will be qualified to City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent in relevant disciplines to the role.
• Experience of maintenance, testing and fault finding on equipment such as boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power and lighting (where applicable).
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.

Salary

Salary Range: £36,234 to £50,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
