Overview

Mobile Generator Engineer / Power Engineer – Exeter/Torquay/Plymouth. Salary £40,000 - £45,000 + OTE £50,000+. Travel to customer sites to maintain and repair generators ranging from 20KVA to 1250KVA. Provide onsite service, identify equipment damage, and maintain accurate service and maintenance records. Communicate effectively with Line Managers and customers to keep all parties informed.

Responsibilities

• Travel regularly to different locations to service portable generators and related equipment.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain generators from 20KVA to 1250KVA.
• Capture machine damage and keep comprehensive service and maintenance records.
• Communicate clearly with Line Managers and customers; provide timely updates as required.
• Ensure operations comply with safety and company standards.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Perl, C++, and other relevant programming languages.
• Strong understanding of Electrical principles and practices.
• Experience with solder techniques and equipment.
• Knowledge of System Design principles and methodologies.
• Familiarity with Mechanical knowledge for system integration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Prior experience in the generator industry or similar.
• Ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues.
• Flexible and self-motivated; willing to stay away from home for training opportunities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Valid driving licence with no more than 6 points.
