Mobile Installation Engineer (AC/Heating) – Bath, England, United KingdomWe are seeking an Installation Engineer to lead, coordinate and deliver air-conditioning (AC / HVAC) engineering projects across GWR contract sites, ensuring systems are installed, maintained, repaired or upgraded to meet performance, safety, regulatory and client standards.ResponsibilitiesOversee and carry out project work involving AC / HVAC systems — including installation, upgrade, refurbishment, modernization works.Plan, organise, and manage resources (people, materials, time) to deliver projects on time, within budget and to contract standards.Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance of HVAC / AC / refrigeration / heat pump systems.Diagnose faults, perform fault-finding and troubleshooting according to manufacturer specifications and best practices.Produce method statements, risk assessments, work permits; ensure all works comply with Health & Safety legislation and Mitie / GWR policies.Ensure all documentation, inspection reports, certification, log books etc. are completed accurately and on schedule.Liaise with client representatives, manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams to coordinate works.Participate in commissioning and testing of new AC / HVAC installations.Ensure that all works meet regulatory requirements (e.g. F-Gas, ODS, OHS, electrical safety).Monitor performance of AC / HVAC plant and systems post-installation to ensure reliability and efficiency.Conduct site surveys / inspections and provide technical input into project proposals, costings, and feasibility studies.Qualifications and RequirementsExperience in installation, maintenance and upgrade of AC / HVAC systems; ability to carry out fault-finding and troubleshooting.Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards related to F-Gas, ODS, OHS and electrical safety.Ability to produce method statements, risk assessments and manage permits.Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, manufacturers and internal teams.Demonstrated experience planning and delivering projects on time and to budget.Commitment to Quality, Health & Safety policies and contract standards.Benefits and Additional InformationOur market-leading offering provides benefits to suit your lifestyle, including virtual GP services, Salary Finance options, lifestyle benefits platform Choices (holiday purchase, insurance, technology purchases), MiDeals discounts, cycle-to-work scheme, life cover, enhanced pension contributions, and employee recognition programs.We are committed to inclusive recruitment.
