Overview The Multi Skilled Engineer (Mechanical Bias) is responsible for the effective day-to-day delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance tasks. The role involves supervising specialist subcontractors, ensuring compliance with all required documentation, and maintaining the highest standards of Health & Safety in line with QHSE guidelines. Key Responsibilities
Operational Delivery
Maintain QHSE documentation and ensure availability via client CAFM systems (e.g., Elogbooks, Hazard Reports, training & competency records, SAP, Prime). Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/14001 standards and all relevant Quality Management Systems. Proactively identify and implement innovations to enhance performance and exceed client expectations. Organise and carry out both reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) for site M&E systems, including:
BMS Fire Systems Air Conditioning Boilers Pumps Valves & Generators
Undertake reactive maintenance tasks as instructed by Contract Support/Management in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Prioritise and delegate maintenance tasks to ensure optimal service delivery. Ensure all PPMs are delivered in accordance with task schedules. Respond promptly and effectively to all reactive maintenance issues and site requests. Support installation and repair of plant equipment as required. Provide out-of-hours callout support and emergency cover when needed.
Health & Safety Adhere to Health & Safety policies at all times. Ensure compliance with all QHSE procedures, reporting, and risk assessments. People & Development Attend and participate in relevant training courses to maintain skills and compliance. Foster a customer-focused approach within all operational activities. Maintain effective relationships with key client contacts. Represent the organisation professionally, promoting and maintaining its core values. Deliver services in line with company procedures and policies. Skills & Aptitudes
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to acquire and maintain knowledge of building operations and services. Comfortable working outside of core discipline where necessary. Confident in client-facing situations, representing the business positively. Physically fit; able to carry tools and components up to 20kg. Cooperative, adaptable, and a strong team player.
