Mobile Service Engineer – Electric & Diesel Buses

Location: Field-Based (reporting to Thurrock)

Employment Type: Full-time (Shift-based)

Salary: £42,804 + shift allowance (up to 30%)

Role Overview

We are hiring a Mobile Service Engineer – Electric & Diesel Buses to deliver high-quality servicing and repair support across our customer base. This mobile position provides the opportunity to work on a variety of public service vehicles powered by both electric and diesel drivetrains.

As a Mobile Service Engineer – Electric & Diesel Buses, you will perform a combination of routine maintenance, fault diagnostics, and urgent breakdown support at various locations.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert mobile diagnostics and repairs

Conduct inspections and planned maintenance

Work independently across customer sites

Maintain accurate service records and reports

Support breakdown cover when required

You’ll be representing the company as a trusted Mobile Service Engineer – Electric & Diesel Buses, building strong relationships with operators and depot teams alike.

What You’ll Need

Full UK Driving Licence and PSV Licence

Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance certification

Experience working on diesel and electric vehicle systems

HV qualified with strong diagnostics knowledge
