This role offers the opportunity to develop and validate high-fidelity models for complex physical systems and support the design of advanced control strategies.ResponsibilitiesDevelop dynamic system models for mechanical, electrical, thermal, and fluid systems.Design, implement, and optimise control algorithms (PID, state-space, advanced strategies).Run simulations to assess performance under a range of operating scenarios, disturbances, and fault conditions.Define and support the integration of instrumentation and sensor systems for validation.Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across energy systems, controls, and nuclear engineering.Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project delivery standards.QualificationsRequired Skills:Proven experience in MATLAB and Simulink modelling.Strong background in control theory and system simulation.Experience in systems engineering or other high-integrity domains.Ability to translate simulation results into practical engineering recommendations.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Required Qualifications:A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.Must be eligible for UK SC Security Clearance (Minimum 5 Years in the UK).Desirable Skills:Experience with model validation and instrumentation.Familiarity with safety-critical environments.Additional InformationWhy join us?We foster a community of dually talented individuals who are both entrepreneurs and technology specialists.
