My client, a top motorsport team located in the north of England, requires a Motorsport Design Engineer specialising in engine design to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the fast-paced environment of international motorsport.
Working from my client’s site, the motorsport design engineer will play a key role in the development of high-performance engines.
Responsibilities:
* Delivering innovative engineering solutions from initial concepts through to production.
* Assisting in the design and development of engine components using 3D CAD.
* Creating detailed drawings and engineering documentation to support manufacture and assembly.
* Performing basic calculations and simulations to support design decisions.
* Supporting prototype builds and test activities.
Requirements:
* Be educated in an Engineering degree.
* Have good knowledge of 3D CAD, preferably CATIA.
* A proven interest in engines and powertrain systems.
* A fundamental knowledge of engine systems and materials.
* Have meticulous attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving.
