An established food manufacturer is looking to add a Multi-skilled Engineer to its small on-site maintenance team in Daventry. The facility supplies a range of high-volume baked goods to well-known retailers, operating in a fast-paced, clean environment.
\n
You'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of equipment, support improvement projects, and work closely with production to minimise downtime and promote a proactive maintenance culture.
\n
Key duties:
\n
\n Complete planned maintenance tasks and record them using the site system
\n
Diagnose and repair faults on electrical and mechanical equipment
\n
Support with utilities and facility upkeep
\n
Contribute to improvement initiatives and project work
\n
Maintain safe working practices in line with site and industry standards
\n
Assist and guide production with basic maintenance checks
\n
\n
What you'll need:
\n
\n Time-served or formally qualified in engineering
\n
17th or 18th Edition certification
\n
Strong multi-skilled background, ideally from a food or FMCG environment
\n
Confident with both electrical fault finding and mechanical repairs
\n
Good communication skills and a flexible, hands-on approach
\n
\n
