Unknown Resourcing are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering client based in Devon. This is an excellent permanent position on a sought-after day shift working pattern. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. This Maintenance Engineer position requires a proactive approach to maintaining equipment and systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. The Maintenance Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency while providing excellent customer service.
Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities
Perform the day to day mechanical and electrical maintenance of plant equipment to include injection moulding machinery and associated ancillary equipment, ensuring continuity of production
Strong electrical/mechanical knowledge with proven experience of working within a maintenance programme whilst dealing with day-to-day breakdowns, faults and repairs
Diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical faults that occur on plant and/or electrical equipment.
Assist in maintenance programme for all plant and/or equipment (hydraulics, robots, ancillary)
Validate new plant equipment and upgrades
Process/equipment troubleshooting and failure analysis
Ensure all items of plant and/or equipment is in good safe working order
Strive to improve the efficiency and safety of plant and equipment
Maintain a high standard of record keeping for all repairs and servicing of plant and/or equipment as required for audit, traceability and warranty purposes
Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Requirements:
Must have experience in Plastic Injection Moulding maintenance & mould machinery equipment servicing
Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical engineering / maintenance
A good working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electronic/electrical automation controls.
Qualified electrician with 16th/17th/18th Edition regulations or equivalent
Logic fault-finding & problem-solving skills
Experience of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
Experience of reactive maintenance
Troubleshooting problems on various types of equipment
Focused team player with the aim to further improve the department
