Multi Skilled Shift Engineer - Fabric Engineer Bias role at Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services.

Shift pattern of 4 on 4 off nights (12 hours). A van will be provided. You will be the out-of-office point of contact, with 4-6 weeks of weekday training during this time.

As part of our growing Engineering family, we are looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer or Fabric Engineer to provide a building fabric maintenance and repairs service. The role sits within our facility support service and covers a diverse range of clients, industries and sectors.

Responsibilities

• Provide building fabric maintenance and repairs service, including minor plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating, and patch repairs.
• Carry out fabric repairs with basic electrical and/or plumbing skills; previous experience in building services preferred.
• Be physically fit as the role involves manual handling, working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Keep clients updated with developments, record all activities, remedial works, inspection logs, etc.; maintain a high level of customer service; use IT to record tasks and updates; communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Qualifications

• Background in facilities management, a trade qualification or relevant experience.
• Basic electrical and/or plumbing skills; experience in the building services sector preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication and comfortable using IT to record tasks and updates.
• Ability to work in a role requiring manual handling, working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Physically fit and able to work as part of a field-based maintenance team.
