Water Recycling is at the heart of our operations. The key services that we are responsible for are delivered by our in-house, highly skilled workforce. We collect and treat the water that customers have used, returning it to the environment via rivers and coastal outlets. Our network includes 76,000 kilometres of sewers which feed over 1,000 water recycling centres. Responsibilities

• As a multi-skilled maintenance engineer (Gas), provide support and complete both planned and reactive maintenance across Water Recycling assets, specifically gas and biogas assets.
• Improve the performance and efficiency of operational assets and activities across all sites.
• Provide technical support to the team and undertake projects across the region, including optimisation, installation, and capital intervention.
• Planned and reactive maintenance for Gas Assets (gas holders, boosters, flare stacks etc).
• Provide both technical and specialist support to site operations teams.
• Help enhance the performance of the Gas assets.
• Electrical fault finding.
• Ensure all relevant Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Assist with the reduction of operating costs.
• Document all PPM activities and plan rectifications of faults found.

What does it take to be a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Gas)

• A full apprenticeship or an NVQ Level 2/3 in either a mechanical or electrical discipline.
• Formal gas qualifications are required (GasSafe / I-Gas).
• CompEx qualification would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Advanced Digestion would be advantageous.
• Experience of planned preventative maintenance.
• Operational and maintenance experience in Gas assets.
• LTHW boiler / heating experience would be beneficial.
• Proven experience with fault finding and problem solving.
• Strong awareness of Health and Safety practices.
• Strong communication skills.
• Competent user of IT.
• Flexible approach to work with potential for out of hours management standby.
• Full driving licence is essential for this role.
