OverviewAbout the Company: Our client is a leading sheet metal based Manufacturing company supplying the architeactural, roofing, cladding and self storage sectors across the UK.The Role: As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing plant. You will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of machinery, working with both electrical and mechanical systems. Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on sheet metal manufacturing equipment. Diagnose, repair, and service mechanical and electrical faults in machinery. Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency. Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. Identify areas for continuous improvement and cost reduction.
Key Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or sheet metal environment. Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills. Experience with CNC machinery, press brakes, laser cutting machines, or other sheet metal processing equipment is advantageous. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND, or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering). Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent attention to detail.
