About the Role

Welcome to our Kerry site in Omagh, where we take pride in supplying a variety of brands with delicious products like ice creams, cream alternatives, custards, and yogurt beverages.

We are excited to announce a vacancy for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer . This role involves working a rotating 8-hour shift pattern, 5 days a week, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends. You will play a crucial role in supporting both planned and reactive maintenance across our manufacturing plant.

What Will I Be Doing?

• Contribute to the timely and effective maintenance of all plant and equipment.
• Ensure all auxiliary services (steam, air, water, etc.) are maintained efficiently.
• Conduct methodical diagnostics and fault rectification on electrical control panels and systems.
• Respond to callouts on a rota basis to ensure continuous engineering support.
• Apply a professional work ethic to promptly address breakdowns and maintenance activities.
• Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Assist in monitoring and controlling the spares stock control system.
• Carry out additional duties, including production operations, as needed.
• Adhere to all company policies, including Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities.
• Attend off-site training when required.

What Do I Need to Be Successful?

• Relevant NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification or Mechanical engineering qualification.
• A minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong written, numerical, and verbal communication skills.
• Good ICT abilities.
• Ability to effectively multi-task.
• Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Ability to read mechanical and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with PLC-controlled applications in an industrial setting.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a changing environment.
• Strong relationship-building skills with colleagues and stakeholders.
