The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a long-established and well-respected manufacturing and engineering business. This is a hands-on role offering plenty of variety, where you’ll be working with a wide range of machinery and equipment, carrying out breakdown repairs as well as planned maintenance tasks.
The position is based on the outskirts of St Neots and offered on a permanent, full-time basis. The company has built a strong reputation in its field for reliability, quality, and innovation. Main Responsibilities:
Maintain site machinery including Machine Shop Mills, Lathes, Drills, and Sheet-Metal/Fabricating equipment (hand tools, polishers, heaters, etc.)
Assemble and fit new equipment as required
Carry out electrical work across the site
Undertake plumbing and general site maintenance tasks
Respond to and resolve breakdowns efficiently
Uphold quality engineering standards both in the factory and on client sites
Maintain high standards of health & safety, hygiene, and discipline
Skills/Experience:
Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role
Strong mechanical skills with some electrical knowledge
Ability to fault-find and carry out both reactive and planned maintenance
Good understanding of health & safety practices in a manufacturing environment
Team player with strong problem-solving skills
Flexible approach and willingness to work overtime when required

Competitive rate of pay (dependent on experience)
