Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer\n\nSheffield\n\n£53,200 + Pension & Benefits\n\nWe’re looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team at a high-volume food manufacturing site. They’re committed to developing and investing in their people and this role is a mix of planned maintenance, fault-finding, and project work, with a focus on improving reliability and supporting the site’s CI agenda.\n\nAbout the Role:\nWorking as part of a shift-team of seven engineers, some of your key responsibilities will include:\n\n * Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site, diagnosing and resolving breakdowns quickly to minimise downtime.\n\n * Supporting mechanical and electrical engineering activities.\n\n * Working on installation and modification projects to improve plant performance.\n\n * Ensuring strict Health & Safety and Food Safety standards are adhered to at all times.\n\n * Contributing to continuous improvement, focusing on improving efficiencies and reducing waste.\n\nShift Pattern – 4 on/off (2 days/nights)\n\nAbout You:\n\n * Apprentice-trained Engineer, ideally with an electrical bias, with experience of planned/reactive maintenance, ideally within Food or FMCG manufacturing.\n\n * Proactive, methodical approach with strong fault-finding skills.\n\n * Good communication and teamwork – you’ll be working closely with production and technical teams.\n\n * PLC programming skills would be ideal but are not essential.\n\n * 18th Edition and other qualifications, such as Food Safety and IOSH, would be an advantage.\n\nWhy Apply?\n\nThis is an opportunity to join an established food business offering opportunities for development and progression.\n\nTo find out more, apply today
