Multi-skilled Reactive Gas Engineer (with General Trades) | London | Full Time | Up to £65,000+ including overtime Our client is a long-established property maintenance company working with prime letting agents as well as domestic customers. They pride themselves in delivering excellent customer service and were awarded ‘Best Property Maintenance Company' in Greater London in 2018 and ‘Best Property Maintenance Company & Award for Excellence in Emergency Repairs' in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 and are a friendly, highly supportive employer. They are now seeking a highly experienced, multi-skilled tradesperson — a Gas Engineer who can also turn their hand to a broad range of reactive repairs and emergency callouts. This is a key hire within the business, so if you're flexible, resourceful, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you. This is a full-time PAYE position; CIS is also possible, if preferred. Are you the right person for the job? Essential: Fully qualified Gas Engineer (with Gas Safe background) Strong experience in central heating fault-finding, service, repair and installation Confident handling plumbing issues (leaks, blockages, cylinder faults, radiators, etc.) Able to deal with minor electrical issues and fault-finding (e.g. wiring, boiler controls) Hands-on skills across general property maintenance (basic carpentry, building repairs, etc.) A flexible, reliable, customer-first approach A full, clean UK driving licence Desirable: Experience with Y & S plan wiring and controls UFH (underfloor heating) installation and maintenance Commercial and HIU experience Unvented cylinder qualification Broader property trades experience What will your role look like? Attending emergency callouts (boiler breakdowns, leaks, electrics, urgent repairs) Diagnosing and repairing central heating systems quickly and effectively Carrying out servicing, preventative maintenance and gas safety checks Handling a wide range of plumbing and property maintenance tasks Participating in a rota for emergency callouts (enhanced pay rates apply, including seasonal periods) Delivering excellent customer service and clear communication Completing all paperwork to a high standard Maintaining safe working practices and a professional company image What can you expect in return?
