Overview

Office Based 5 Days Monday - Friday. This role is part of a busy IT team delivering Networking and Infrastructure services across multiple departments within a fast-paced environment. The client is the European subsidiary of a global company specialising in lighting, rigging, generators, and related facilities, with film studies and studios.

The 2nd and some 3rd Line Network and Infrastructure Engineer will be the main contact for high-profile individuals at this major site. The role focuses on the configuration and support of Networking and Infrastructure, including Switches, Routers, Firewalls, VLANs, CCTV, Windows, Azure, Intune and Defender. It is essential to have both Networking and Infrastructure skills and to be an excellent, customer-facing communicator.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for high-profile individuals at the site, delivering reliable Networking and Infrastructure support.
• Configure and maintain networks and infrastructure, including Switches, Routers, Firewalls, VLANs, and CCTV systems.
• Manage Windows environments and cloud services (Azure, Intune, Defender) and integrate them with on-site networks.
• Support network and infrastructure projects and system integration across departments.
• Develop and maintain precise procedural documentation and reports aligned with strategic goals.
• Ensure excellent customer service and professional communication at all times.

Qualifications

• 2nd line and some 3rd line experience in LAN and WAN, with strong Windows infrastructure and support skills.
• Proven ability to implement and support solutions in complex networks and infrastructure, with experience in VLANs, switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-facing attitude; able to work proactively and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Driving licence for occasional travel and a valid passport for potential travel to European locations.
• Demonstrates clear written and verbal communication; ability to document procedures and maintain records.
