Project title: Consulting services for network modernization and configuration optimization

Project objective: As part of a strategic infrastructure initiative, an external network engineer will provide consulting services to facilitate the updating and optimization of network components. The objective is to ensure high-performance, secure, and future-proof network operations.

Scope of services: The external consultant will deliver the following services:
Analysis and planning of router and switch upgrades: Evaluation of existing hardware, selection of suitable firmware versions, and development of an upgrade concept
Guidance on firmware upgrades: Technical consulting on implementation, including compatibility validation and documentation of changes
Change management consulting: Formulation and submission of change requests within the existing change management framework
Configuration harmonization: Identification of deviations and development of standards to unify network configurations
Incident advisory: Technical consulting for the analysis and resolution of network faults
Ticket routing recommendations: Assessment-based suggestions for forwarding incoming tickets to appropriate internal departments

Skills required:
In-depth knowledge of Cisco NX-OS and IOS
Experience with routing & switching and common network protocols
Expertise in network automation (e.g. Python, Ansible)
Familiarity with Linux environments
Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently
Language proficiency: German and English
