Overview

Referment is working with a leading market making and high frequency trading firm who have opened a Network Engineer role in their Infrastructure team. This is a broad role that will involve the design, implementation and support of their global WAN and LAN networks, including the low latency trading desks within the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support global WAN and LAN networks, including low latency trading desk connectivity.
• Collaborate with traders, quants and development teams to ensure network performance and reliability.

Key Requirements

• 3-8 years of experience working as a Network Engineer in an enterprise environment
• Strong routing, switching and firewall knowledge
• In depth knowledge of core network protocols such as TCP and UDP. Experience with BGP, EIGRP and IGMP would be advantageous
• Scripting and automation skills with languages like Python and Ansible
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
