Network Engineer - (with growth into SD-WAN, SASE & Security)

We're looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our growing team in London, working on cutting-edge projects in networks, SD-WAN, SASE, and cyber security. This is a hands-on technical role with opportunities to broaden your expertise across cloud and wider IT solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support enterprise-grade networking solutions across LAN, WAN, and cloud environments.
  • Work with SD-WAN and SASE technologies, ensuring resilient, secure, and scalable connectivity for customers.
  • Configure and troubleshoot routing and switching (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VRRP) and manage firewalls, VPNs, and security policies.
  • Collaborate closely with solution architects, project teams, and stakeholders to deliver robust technical solutions.
  • Document technical designs and provide input into solution standards and best practices.
  • Stay involved across the project lifecycle, from design to delivery, ensuring high-quality implementations.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in networking (L2/L3 switching, IP routing, wireless principles).
  • Solid understanding of network security (firewalls, IPSec, SIEM, Zero Trust concepts).
  • Experience in at least two key areas: networks, cloud, or security.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to manage complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills - able to explain technical solutions to both engineers and business stakeholders.
  • Organised, adaptable, and comfortable working on multiple projects in fast-paced environments.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with SD-WAN and SASE solutions.
  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNP/CCIE, Palo Alto, AWS).
