Router/Switch Configuration & Maintenance Hands-on experience with Cisco, Arista , or other enterprise-grade networking equipment. Comfortable performing pre-approved network changes (e.g., VLAN changes, ACL modifications, routing adjustments). Ability to troubleshoot Layer 2 (switching) and Layer 3 (routing) issues .

Firewall & Security – Fortigate Expertise Experience managing Fortigate firewalls (policy changes, VPN configurations, security hardening). Basic understanding of firewall rule management and troubleshooting connectivity issues.

Basic Automation Experience Exposure to Python, Ansible, or Terraform for automating network tasks (e.g., config backups, monitoring). Experience with API-based integrations for network automation is a plus.

Understanding of ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) Deep understanding of Layer 2 communication , how ARP works, and how to troubleshoot ARP-related issues. Ability to analyze ARP tables and detect MAC conflicts or anomalies.
